STANDING TALL: The old stone chimney in Niagara Falls has stood for over 250 years, having survived being burned during the French and Indian War and again during the War of 1812. The chimney area is one of 31 sites across Niagara County that saw action during the War of 1812 and it’s on a newly produced map by the History Center of Niagara marking the war bicentennial.
