Bisons' Wednesday night game rained out

Tonawanda News — The Buffalo Bisons tried to hold out after showers and thunderstorms rolled through late Wednesday afternoon, but continued rain led officials to postpone Wednesday's scheduled game at Coca-Cola Field against the Gwinnett Braves.

Ricky Romero, who was scheduled to start on the mound for Buffalo on Wednesday, is expected to take the mound in Thursday's first game, which begins at 5:05 p.m. Both games will be seven innings in length.

The doubleheader is single admission, according to Bisons officials. Fans who already purchased tickets for what was scheduled as a single game against the Braves can watch both games at no additional cost.

Fans holding tickets for Wednesday's game can exchange them for a similar ticket to upcoming games, excluding special event nights, during the 2014 season.
