Tonawanda News — Brad Glenn went 3-for-5 and drove home three runs as the Buffalo Bisons won their second straight game on the road, defeating the host Louisville Bats, 7-5, on Friday evening.
After giving up a 1-0 lead to trail 2-1 after three innings, the Herd responded with six unanswered runs over the next three innings. Jared Goedert went 2-for-4, hitting two doubles and scoring two of Buffalo's runs.
Shawn Hill, who was called up from Class AA New Hampshire and inserted into the pitching rotation in place of Liam Hendrick, who in turn was called up to Toronto, got the win and improved his Bisons record to 2-1. He allowed six hits and two earned runs in six innings of work, striking out three.
Bobby Korecky earned the save for the second straight day, his fifth of the season.
Buffalo and Louisville resume their series tonight, beginning at 6:05 p.m. Chad Jenkins (1-1) is scheduled to start for the Bisons.
