Canal Fest schedule

Today

• Youth activities sponsored by the NT Department of Youth, Recreation and Parks will take place starting at 10 a.m. at Payne Park, 848 Payne Ave., North Tonawanda. A goldfish dive for ages 4 to 7 p.m. will take place from 10 a.m. to noon at the Raindrop Pool. A fishing tournament will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. for those ages 8 to 16 at the canal at Sweeney and Oliver streets, North Tonawanda.

• Rides and midway games will run 1 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 10 p.m. on Niagara Street in Tonawanda. Food concessions will run noon to closing. A beer tent will be open from noon to 11 p.m.

• St

one Row will perform from noon to 3 p.m. at the Gateway Stage at the water, Sweeney Street, North Tonawanda.

• Face painting by Sheila Reigh will take place from noon to 9 p.m. at the corner of Webster and Sweeney streets in North Tonawanda.

• Pre-race bag pick-up and late registration for the 26th annual Tim Frank Memorial 4-Miler Run will take place from 3 to 8 p.m. at the Eldredge Club, 17 Broad St., Tonawanda.

• A K-9 patrol demo by the North Tonawanda police will take place from 4 to 4:30 p.m. at Webster and Sweeney streets, North Tonawanda.

• Amanda Nagumey will perform from 4 to 5 p.m and 6 to 7 p.m. at the food court on Niagara Street, Tonawanda.

• Phocus will perform from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Gateway Stage at the water, Sweeney Street, North Tonawanda.

• Operation Safe Child children’s ID program will be presented from 4 to 8 p.m. by the Erie County Sheriff’s Department at Wizard Communications, 2 Main St. at the Renaissance Bridge, Tonawanda.

• Entertainment will be presented starting at 5 p.m. at the Benjamin Long Homestead, 24 E. Niagara St., Tonawanda. Acts include Illyas Belly Dance School at 5 p.m., Middle Eastern Dancers with Nadia at 6 p.m., Hot Country Line Dancers at 6:30 p.m., Club Infinity dancers with Bev Randall at 7:15 p.m. and Belly Dance Academy at 8 p.m.
