— Today

• The Canal Festimpics awards ceremonies will take place at noon at the Gateway Stage at the water, Sweeney Street, North Tonawanda.

• The T-NT’s Got Talent show will take place at the Gateway Stage at the water, Sweeney Street, North Tonawanda. Those ages 6 to 10 will perform starting at noon. Those ages 11 to 16 will perform starting at 1:30 p.m. Participants must register by 11 a.m. by calling 695-8520, ext. 510.

• Rides and midway games will run 5 to 10 p.m. on Niagara Street in Tonawanda. Food concessions will run noon to closing. A beer tent will be open from noon to 11 p.m.

• Face painting by Sheila Reigh will take place from 2 to 9 p.m. at the corner of Webster and Sweeney streets in North Tonawanda.

• A K-9 patrol demo by the North Tonawanda police will take place from 4 to 4:30 p.m. at Webster and Sweeney streets, North Tonawanda.

• The Maria Aurigema Band will perform from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Gateway Stage at the water, Sweeney Street, North Tonawanda.

• Fish fries plus from 4 to 8 p.m.; theme tray raffle from 5 to 9 p.m. and live music from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. at Knights of Columbus, 55 Main St. Tonawanda.

• The seventh annual bike cruise will take place from 5:30 to 10 p.m. on Webster Street from Sweeney to Goundry streets, North Tonawanda. There will be a bike rodeo at 7:30 p.m. on Main Street and a performance by Murphy’s Law from 7 to 10 p.m. on the Webster Street stage between Tremont and Goundry streets.

• Family Zone entertainment will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. on the lawn of the Long Homestead, 24 E. Niagara St., Tonawanda.

• The 9 Teas will perform from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Tonawanda Food Court, Niagara Street, Tonawanda.

• Sika Flex “Quick & Dirty” boat building contest continues from 6 to 10 p.m. on the lawn of the Long Homestead, 24 E. Niagara St., Tonawanda.

• The annual invitational Boat House Jam with musicians from through the United States will take place at 8 p.m. at the American Legion Post 264, 60 Main St., Tonawanda.

• West of the Mark will perform from 8 to 11 p.m. at the Gateway Stage at the water, Sweeney Street, North Tonawanda.

Saturday

• A pancake breakfast will take place from 8 a.m to noon at American Legion Post 264, 60 Main St., Tonawanda.

• Entertainment will take place at the Clinton Park Gazebo, Tonawanda. Acts include: 9 a.m., Ole Time Music with Sound for Music; 11 a.m., Belly Dance Academy; noon, Sound for Music; 1 p.m. Nadia’s Middle Eastern Dancers; 2 p.m. Illya’s Belly Dance School.

• A flea market operated by the Historical Society of the Tonawandas will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Clinton Park, Broad Street, Tonawanda.

• Knights of Columbus will offer a theme tray raffle from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Canal Fest Fresh Show hip-hop music at 9 p.m. at 55 Main St., Tonawanda.

• An arts & crafts show will run from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. from Main and Broad streets in Tonawanda to Webster and Goundry streets in North Tonawanda.

• “Santa’s Summer Village” to benefit Rockin’ With Santa will take place from noon to 8 p.m. at Overlook Point, Niagara Street, Tonawanda. Bring a toy or make a donation to be entered to win prizes.

• Operation Safe Child will be presented by the Erie County Sheriff’s Department from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Wizard Communications, 2 Main St. at the Renaissance Bridge, Tonawanda.

• KidBiz marketplace will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the YWCA parking lot at 49 Tremont St., North Tonawanda.

• Family Zone entertainment will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 to 4 p.m. on the lawn of the Long Homestead, 24 E. Niagara St., Tonawanda.

• “Relax at the Riv” open house will take place from noon to 7 p.m. at the Riviera Theatre, 67 Webster St., North Tonawanda.

• The Parable Players teen group will perform from 2 to 3 p.m. at Overlook Point, Niagara Street, Tonawanda.

• A K-9 patrol demo by the Erie County Sheriff’s Department will take place at 3 p.m. at Main and Niagara streets, Tonawanda.

• The Duck Race by Community Missions of Niagara Frontier will begin at 2 p.m. Ducks drop from the Delaware Street bridge.

• Mojo Hand Band featuring Fontilla Timmons Blues will perform from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Gateway Stage at the water, Sweeney Street, North Tonawanda.

• The Sika Cup “Down and Dirty” boat races will begin at 6 p.m. in the canal between the Delaware Street bridge and the mouth of Ellicott Creek.

• Music will be featured at 8 p.m. at American Legion Post 264, 60 Main St, Tonawanda.

• Coda will perform from 8 to 11 p.m. at the Gateway Stage at the water, Sweeney Street, North Tonawanda.

• A boat parade by the Tonawanda Island Launch Club will begin at dusk down the canal from the Niagara River and back again. The theme is “Christmas in July.”
