Fourteen wineries on the Niagara Wine Trail are participating in this year's Hallowine Murder Mystery weekend Friday through Oct. 20.
This year's mystery, titled "Three Wings to the Wind," features characters from a traveling circus accused of a murder. Guests are encouraged to interact with the characters in order to try to solve the mystery at the last winery.
Correct guesses can be entered in a drawing for prizes, and not every winery has to be visited in order to submit a guess.
Tickets can be purchased ahead of time online at www.niagarawinetrail.org for $30 until 9 p.m. Thursday. Day-of tickets can be purchased for $35. Ticket prices include a commemorative wine glass from the first winery, three tastings at each participating winery and clues to help solve the mystery.
Participating wineries include BlackBird Cider Works, Chateau Niagara Winery, Eveningside Vineyards, Freedom Run Winery, Honeymoon Trail Winery, Leonard Oakes Estate Winery, The Winery at Marjim Manor, Niagara Landing Wine Cellars, Schulze Vineyard & Winery, Spring Lake Winery, Victorianbourg Wine Estate, Vizcarra Vineyards, Long Cliff Winery and Lake Ontario Winery.
