•Lockport Community Band will perform its first-ever Halloween concert Saturday night at the Historic Palace Theatre.
•The free, 7 p.m. concert features “music that evokes images of Halloween,” both scary and fun. The band is accepting free-will donations at the concert and will give a share to the Palace’s “Project Projector” digital movie projector fundraising campaign.
•A “Mysteries of Lockport Paranormal Walk,” will take place at 7 p.m. Saturday led by Niagara County Community College American history professor John Koerner. The walk starts at Sweet Ride Rentals, 51 Canal St., at 7 p.m.; the bike shop will open at 6 p.m. and serve hot cider and cake bites from Sweet 16 Cafe. Admission is $15 per person.
• The youth and recreation department’s annual Halloween party and downtown trick-or-treating event will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday outside City Hall. Cider and pizza will be served, goodie bags will be given out and trick-or-treat bags will be distributed for same-night use in the central business district. Kids should look for pumpkin decals on a door or window to be sure. Back at City Hall, Dennis George will run a kid-friendly installment of his Quiz Master Game Show focused on Halloween and Lockport trivia.
