HS SPORTS: Two double-doubles help O'Hara girls win


Tonawanda News — Lockport 6, Kenmore East 1

The Lions (3-3) knocked down a total 2924 pins while Ken East (1-5) dropped a total 2589. Lauren Pieroni led the winners with a 636 series that included games of 244 and 235. Kim Michalski led Ken East with a 227 game and 542 series.

Niagara-Wheatfield 7, Kenmore West 0

Marissa Stashak led the Falcons (4-2) with a 590 series that included a 229 single game. Julia Brown finished right behind her with a 214 game and 581 series. Emily Philips led Ken West (1-5) with a 481 series.

Grand Island 5, Lew-Port 2

Christina Sutton led the Vikings (5-1) with a 659 series, rolling games of 206, 227 and 226. Bonnie Chelikowsky rolled a 515 series.

For Lew-Port (0-6), Alexis Wade had the leading series with her 553, while Veronica Flynn had the highest individual game total at 199, part of her 532 series.


Tonawanda 41, Lackawanna 33

Tim Barnard, Dylan Mayer and Christopher Mara scored pins against their respective opponents, while Sam Sparacino won his match for Tonawanda on a technical fall.
