St. Joe's claims second consecutive Georgetown Cup

Tonawanda News — The Mauraders increased their lead to 2-1 in the top of the seventh on a wild pitch from Crusader pitcher Colin Tenney. Brummer finished the game 2 for 2 with two doubles and a walk. Wells finished the game 1 for 3 with an RBI for St. Joe’s. 

John Conti finished 3 for 3 with a double and two singles for Canisius. 

For coach Nasca he says goodbye to a core group of seniors, including Matre. 

“I’m happy for the kids, (especially) the seniors,” Nasca said. “To see them ride to the crest and be able to get two in a row — I couldn’t be happier for them.”
