Tonawanda News — Some of the best talents in Western New York high school basketball are coming to Niagara Falls tonight.

Niagara Falls High School will host the PAL/ACE Showcase tonight, beginning at 6 p.m., which will feature a doubleheader of all-star games featuring top players from throughout the Buffalo-Niagara region, from freshmen to seniors.

Tonawanda area schools will have less representation in the first game, made up of freshmen and sophomore talents. Amir James of Cardinal O'Hara will play for the West team, while Kenmore West coach Ryan Hogan will lead the East all-stars.

Niagara Falls area players dominate the freshmen/sophomore game. Four members of the NFHS Wolverines squad will play, two of them for the East All-Stars and the other two against them with the West. Representing East will be Breon Harris and Devin Sanders, while Charles Lamar and Tyler Sanders will suit up for the West. Carlos Bradberry will coach the West freshmen/sophomore squad.

Other Niagara players scheduled to play in tonight's opening contest for East include Niagara Catholic freshman Qeyion Williams, Denzel Fuller of Niagara-Wheatfield, Janard Jackson from Lew-Port and Ben Walters from Starpoint.

Buffalo area schools make up most of the rosters in the second game, featuring juniors and seniors, but Tonawanda schools will have a presence. North Tonawanda's Joe Piotrowski will play on the East team, as will Ken West's Noah Whalen. Donel Cathcart of O'Hara will play with the West team, which will be led by Tony Pulvirenti, who was recently promoted to O'Hara's varsity head coaching position last month after leading its junior varsity team.

Admission to the game is $5 per person with proceeds benefitting the Niagara Police Athletic League.
