Tonawanda News — Kenmore East boys baseball has had quite the spring break trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C..
The Bulldogs are playing in the Mingo Bay Baseball Classic this week where they’ve already split a pair of nail-bitters, pulling off a 6-5 walk-off win on Monday before breaking up a perfect game Tuesday and nearly completing a late-inning upset. Ken East faced Capital High School from Charelstown, W. Va., on Wednesday, falling 10-1 to the area powerhouse.
The Bulldogs await their next opponent in the round robin format. If they win their next game they would then have the chance to play for the tournament championship later this week.
Meanwhile back home, rival Kenmore West’s scheduled game against Nichols was postponed for Monday due to a frozen field.
