Jake Martineau picked up the win Monday, tossing six strong innings with four strikeouts. Dalton Wentz hit the first home run at the new NF field, a three-run shot over the fence in left. Wentz finished with four RBIs, while David Yarger added a triple and an RBI for the Wolverines (6-0 NFL).

Lew-Port 23, Ken West 7

In Monday’s incredibly high-scoring affair, Josh Koepsell went the distance for the Lancers (5-1, 4-1 NFL), giving up six hits and three walks while striking out six. Joe Scirto went 2 for 4 with a triple and two RBIs, while Austin Barr went 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI. Ben Serrano led the Blue Devils (1-5 NFL), going 2 for 4 with two triples and three RBIs.

Grand Island 7, Ken East 6 (F/8)

Manny Montes pushed through an RBI single in the bottom of the eighth Monday to clinch the win for the Vikings (4-2 NFL). Josh Barrett went 3 for 4 with two RBIs while Mitch Racz went 2 for 3 with a double and two RBIs against his former team.

Lockport 11, Nia.-Wheatfield 2

Senior Charlie Sobieraski tossed a complete-game victory as the Lions improved to 3-2 in the NFL with a big win on the road Monday. Sobieraski finished with a five-hitter, striking out seven and walking just one. The UB-bound right-hander helped his own cause at the plate with a triple, two singles and three RBIs.

BOYS LACROSSE

Nia.-Wheat. 12, Silver Creek 9

Ryan Koch scored four goals and added an assist Monday for the Falcons, who improved to 5-3. They’ll take the field again at 5 p.m. today, hosting Will. South.

North Tonawanda 11, Wilson 3

Jake Ferry had a huge game, tallying five goals and two assists Monday for the Lumberjacks. Jake Gibson added two goals and two assists, while David Eichorst scored a hat trick.
