LETTER: Editor on the mark about WNY

Tonawanda News — I feel compelled to put pen and paper in hand to say how much I appreciated Eric DuVall’s column Sept. 29.

You are right: “Our quality of life speaks for itself.” How fortunate I am to have raised my four children “in this corner of the world.”

And I love the change of seasons, the ride along the Niagara River, Niagara Falls, the Buffalo Museum of Science, Kleinhans, the Albright Knox Art Gallery, the site of a presidential inauguration and on and on. We have it all.

One of my sons, who residens near Charlotte, N.C., as he is involved in NASCAR racing, insists North Tonawanda is the center of the universe. He’s also a Bills fan, no matter what!

I’m taking your advice — when someone bashes our area I’ll simply smile. No need to comment.

Betty Volk
