North Tonawanda, NY — Casino ramp assault ends with hospital visit

A Tonawanda woman visited the hospital Friday after an argument about a parking space at the Seneca Niagara Casino turned violent. Marion A. Ford, 59, 6035 South Transit, Lockport, was charged at 6:37 p.m. Friday with second-degree harassment and third-degree assault.

The victim stated she was backing out of a parking space at the Niagara Falls casino when a woman, identified as Ford, hopped out of a Ford Escort and became angry over the parking space, though it is unclear why.

Ford punched the victim in the face three times and then grabbed the victim by her hair and slammed her head against the vehicle, according to the police report. The victim sustained a contusion on her head was transported to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center after she became dizzy.

A witness and surveillance footage verified the victim’s account of the assault. Ford was found inside the casino by police and placed under arrest. She admitted to an altercation with the victim but denied assaulting her, reports said.

North Tonawanda

n CHARGED: Paula M. Houston, 21, 54 2nd Ave., was charged at 2:43 a.m. Saturday with driving while intoxicated, failure to keep right and operating a vehicle out of class. Her blood alcohol content was 0.23 percent, according to the police report. She is being held in lieu of $750 bail.

n CHARGED: Linda J. Stengel, 47, 85 Jeffrey Drive, Amherst, was charged at 1:33 a.m. Saturday with driving while intoxicated and failure to yield to a stop sign, according to the police report. She is being held in lieu of $250 bail.

n CHARGED: Paula R. Villa, 42, 61 Morgan St., rear apt., was charged at 9:18 p.m. Friday with driving while intoxicated, not wearing a seatbelt, inadequate muffler and unlawful possession of marijuana, according to the police report. She was released on her own recognizance.

City of Tonawanda

n CHARGED: John P. MacKinnon, 46, 22 Rosemary Ave., was charged at 3:44 p.m. Saturday with third-degree menacing and second-degree harassment, according to the police report. He was held for court.

n CHARGED: Kristen K. Pattison, 21, 99 John St., Akron, was arrested Saturday on a warrant for fifth-degree conspiracy. She is being held in lieu of $250.

Sanborn

n CHARGED: Kyle Walter McClure, 18, 3131 Bellring Drive, Niagara Falls, was charged with third degree assault. According to the sheriff’s report, McClure punched a fellow student in the face while in his classroom Friday morning at BOCES on Settlement Road. McClure was issued appearance ticket.

Niagara Falls

n WEAPON: Freddie B. Kennedy, 25, 1347 Ontario St., was charged at 8:23 p.m. Friday with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. An officer noticed Kennedy walking with a tube-like item protruding from his clothing. The officer drew his gun and told Kennedy to drop what turned out to be a billy club, according to the police report. He was held for court.

n DRUG POSSESSION: Walter R. McTyere, 25, 1316 Niagara Ave., was charged at 12:13 a.m. Saturday with criminal possession of marijuana. Officers approached a vehicle responsible for music so loud it rattled their patrol car. Officers smelled a marijuana odor and noticed a baggie of marijuana in plain view on the floor of the car, according to the police report. McTyere was held for court.
