BLOTTER: Police reports published May 9

CITY OF TONAWANDA

Youngstown woman charged with DWI

A 33-year-old Youngstown woman was charged with driving while intoxicated after she crashed her 1996 Pontiac on the Main Street bridge Thursday morning, police reported.

Michelle A. Baum-Dalatowski of 867 Pletcher Road told police that she was distracted because she was talking to her passenger and was unfamiliar with the area. At about 4:40 a.m. Thursday, Baum-Dalatowski’s car swerved off the road and struck a guard rail on the bridge, causing extensive damage both to the bridge and the front passenger side of her car, according to police.

Officers detected an odor of alcoholic beverage as the driver spoke, police said. Baum-Dalatowski first said she had two drinks, then told police she had about five. Her blood alcohol content registered .15, according to reports.

Baum-Dalatowski was held for court. The Tonawanda Fire Department was called to clean up some oil that spilled as a result of the accident.

CHARGED: Jacob W. Logan, 33, 725 Shad St., North Tonawanda, was charged at 1:15 a.m. Thursday with criminal trespass, obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest, according to reports.

Patrol responded to a disturbance call on Fillmore Avenue. Upon searching the residence, officers found Logan in an upstairs bedroom hiding under bed sheets in between a mattress and the wall. Police ordered Logan to come out and he allegedly refused. Officers had to pull him out of the room, the report states.

Logan was released on his own recognizance.

CHARGED: Peter M. Robinson, 47, 73 Tacoma Ave., Buffalo, surrendered Thursday on a warrant for an original offense of third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle on March 27. Robinson was held for court.

CHARGED: Richard J. Gerow, 43, 11 Front St., Angola, was arrested Thursday on a warrant for an original offense of third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle on Sept. 9, 2007. Gerow is being held in lieu of $200 bail.

CHARGED: Michael A. Norris, 22, 42 Chapel Road, Kenmore, surrendered Wednesday on a warrant for an original offense of driving with revoked registration on Jan. 28. Norris was held for court.
