The Tonawanda News

City of Tonawanda

• DISORDERLY: Jeffery J. Hernandez, 18, 1626 Sweeney St., North Tonawanda, was charged at 9:32 p.m. Wednesday with disorderly conduct, according to police reports. Foot patrol responded to a report of a very intoxicated male, later identified as Hernandez, pushing people who walked past him at Canal Fest. Hernandez allegedly pushed the officer who was questioning him. Hernandez was taken by Twin City Ambulance to Erie County Medical Center because of his intoxicated condition.

• FALSE NAME: Michael V. Fiegel, 21, 61 First Ave., North Tonawanda, was charged at 10:28 p.m. Wednesday with criminal impersonation and littering.

As patrol approached him, Fiegel threw his bottle of beer on the ground, police reports state. Fiegel had no identification on him and allegedly gave police a different name when asked.

However, two off-duty North Tonawanda police familiar with Fiegel walked past and asked what “Mike” had done. Fiegel allegedly provided the wrong name because NT police had recently issued a warrant for his arrest.

• DRUGS: Two city men were arrested Wednesday night for allegedly smoking marijuana near Advance Auto Parts on Niagara Street. Kevin M. Doran, 19, 129 Clinton St., and Robert M. Mol, 20, 22 Alexander St., both were charged at 7:50 p.m. with fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana and were released on appearance tickets.

The group was seen walking near M&T Bank when officers asked them to stop, but Gould allegedly ran away. He was caught a short time later and held for court.

• TRESPASS: Michael T. Robb, 16, of Amherst, was charged at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday with trespassing, while a 15-year-old boy with him was charged with disorderly conduct. Police say the two boys were part of a large group that was fighting earlier in the evening and was asked to leave Canal Fest. A short time later, police found the two back in Canal Fest. Robb was released on an appearance ticket; the juvenile was released to his mother.

• TRESPASS: Three individuals were charged at 6:03 p.m. Wednesday with trespassing and disorderly conduct: Sean S. Vungaro, 16, 132 Dexter St., Stephon J. • DRUGS: Eric E. Keuning, 17, 510 Oliver St., North Tonawanda, was charged at 9:27 p.m. Wednesday with unlawful possession of marijuana. Foot patrol at Canal Fest saw a girl sitting on the concrete abutment leading under the Delaware Street bridge and, upon seeing police, leaned over as if to warn someone that police were coming.

At that time, Keuning and three other juveniles walked from under the bridge.

Because of the common drug use under the bridge, police patted down the subjects, finding a marijuana pipe and a small amount of the drug on Keuning, according to police reports. He was released on an appearance ticket.
