Tonawanda News — New York State Police are trying to locate Joy A. Howard, 49, of Basom. Howard was last seen this past Monday, at about 11:30 a.m., at the M&T Bank branch on Main Street in Clarence.

Mrs. Howard is considered to be a missing person. State Police think she may be in the company of William B. Capen Jr., 51, whose last known addresses include Basom, Barker, Lockport and Jonesboro, Ark.

The pair are believed to be traveling in a 2012 Black Ford Fusion with New York license plate GCW-4846. It is not known where they may be traveling, State Police said.

Howard is a white female, five-feet-four-inches tall, 120 pounds, with hazel eyes, brown hair and possibly blonde highlights. She was last seen wearing a black zip-up hoodie jacket with a green dragon logo on the back, a black sweater and blue jeans.

Capen is a white male, five-feet-five-inches tall, 160 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

State police said Friday night that Howard had contacted her son Friday morning via Facebook but they have not yet had any direct contact with her.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the State Police in Batavia at (585) 343-2200.
