Tonawanda News — Artpark has been named to a pretty lofty list of concert venues by a state music guide.
Artpark was listed as one of the year’s Best Large Venues in UpstateLIVE’s recently released staff and reporter picks for best venues, albums, shows, and festivals in a five-part series on their website, www.upstatelive.com.
Artpark shares the honor with such names as the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado, The Molson Amphitheater in Toronto, Saratoga Performing Arts Center and others.
UpstateLIVE is a free music guide distributed across New York state with accompanying online music blog featuring concert news, reviews, and interviews.
Seventeen concerts were presented in the Artpark Outdoor Amphitheater with eight theater shows and concerts being produced in the Mainstage Theater during Artpark’s 40th anniversary season (May through August 2013).
“It is an honor to be recognized by UpstateLIVE and included among such outstanding venues,” said Artpark President George Osborne. “We look forward to continuing to improve the venue and to bring more and better acts to Artpark each summer.”
