NCCC seeking nominees for alumni award

The Niagara County Community College Alumni Association is seeking nominations for the “Distinguished Alumni” award which recognizes the achievements of the school's former students.

The award is presented to outstanding NCCC alumni for their community involvement, professional employment, accomplishments and dedicated service to NCCC and the community.

The award will be presented at the NCCC Foundation, Inc. Scholarship Gala to be held Oct. 20 at the new Niagara Falls Culinary Institute.

Any former student who has completed 50 or more credit hours at NCCC is eligible to be nominated for this award. Nomination applications are available online at

An application can also be picked up at the NCCC Foundation Office in room A-161 or by calling the Alumni Office at 614-5910. All materials are due in the Alumni Office by May 1 to be eligible for consideration for the award.

Photographs of the previous Distinguished Alumni recipients, including Deborah Karp Coder ’88, the 2011 award recipient, are on display in the NCCC Alumni Gallery, located near the College’s Library. To date, 66 alumni have received the award.
