Tonawanda News — Kenmore police chief appointed

The Kenmore Village Board unanimously appointed Peter Breitnauer as the chief of the village’s police force Tuesday night at the body’s regular meeting.

Breitnauer had been been serving as the acting chief for the eight months since Carl LaCorte retired in November.

Breitnauer has been employed by the department for 29 years and served as the assistant chief from 2006 until the fall.

He passed the police chief exam in March, Mayor Patrick Mang said.
