Tonawanda News — Niagara Falls police arrested four people following a high-speed pursuit early Saturday morning related to an armed robbery investigation.
Domonique Hilson, 19, 1129 Michigan Ave., along with Anthony Hill Jr., 24, of the same address, Mashya Hill, 21, 1216 13th St., and Terra Hilson, 20, 1119 Michigan Ave., were all arrested after police said a vehicle driven by Domonique Hilson fled from a patrol car attempting to stop it near the intersection of 19th and Niagara streets.
Officers said the vehicle matched a description of one believed to have been involved in an armed robbery Friday where shots were fired. According to reports, officers pursued the vehicle but it accelerated at a high rate and fled the scene.
After a brief pursuit where officers lost sight of the vehicle, police said, officers spotted it on Pine Avenue and were able to stop it after it pulled into the parking lot of a restaurant in the 2400 block.
Officers said the owner of the vehicle, Hill Jr., provided permission to search the vehicle after a search of his person revealed a large sandwich bag containing white rocks. A detective at the scene reported finding bags of white powder and a green leafy substance in the vehicle.
While being transported to police headquarters, officers said Hill Jr. complained of hand pain and began laying down in the back seat. Officers said he sat straight up after repeatedly being told to change his position. They said he was searched again at headquarters and taken in for the booking process.
During his time in booking, though, officers said a revolver was located on the rear passenger floor of the patrol vehicle. They said it is black with a white handle, with three bullets and three spent casings.
Meanwhile, Domonique Hilson, the driver of the vehicle, was allegedly in possession of six Xanax tablets and two Suboxone strips. Police said Suboxone was among the items taken during the robbery originally being investigated.
Collective charges against the four arrested individuals include third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, unlawful possession of marijuana, unlicensed operation of a vehicle and unreasonable speed.
