Tonawanda News — Niagara County SPCA elects new Board of Directors and officers
The Niagara County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals held the first meeting of its 2013-14 Board of Directors last Wednesday.
Newly elected members of the board are Debra L. Korpolinski, Local 22 Funds Administrator and Jennifer R. Pitarresi, director of Risk Management for the County of Niagara. The Board filled three other seats with the re-election of Dr. Susan Persico, who also serves as a veterinarian to the SPCA, Polla Milligan, a grant writer for the Food Bank of WNY and Karen Karsten, former chairperson of the Seneca Gaming Corp.
The new board also elected officers: Michelle D. Madigan, president; AnnLouise Carosella, vice president; David A. Urban, treasurer; Debra L. Korpolinski, secretary and Pitarresi was elected as an Executive Committee member.
Committees and their members were designated and elected to effect governance of SPCA operations and to finalize and implement the long-range strategic plan for the organization, the agency said.
