Taylor Devices completes Buffalo Bolt expansion

(Continued)

Tonawanda News — North Tonawanda Mayor Rob Ortt, who attended a ribbon cutting ceremony Thursday with other local officials, said when he took office in 2009 he feared the brownfield site remediated in the 1990s would sit idle, but will now instead serve as an incubator for future development along Oliver Street.

“Four years ago this business park was just a park, with no business,” he said. “Taylor Devices will be the first tenant here at the Buffalo Bolt business park and hopefully this will be another step in the revitalization of the Oliver Street business corridor. We are very happy to see a long-time NT company expanding and creating jobs here in our city.”

The city is also nearing a deal withy Armstrong Pumps, which is located outside the business park but is seeking to expand into it. The Aquasol Corporation, located on Thompson Street, purchased land in the park several years ago but has yet to develop the site.
