Tonawanda News — Electronic recycling event set for Saturday

The Second Annual Northtowns E-Waste Event is being held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Andrew’s Country Day School in the Town of Tonawanda, officials said.

Residents can drop off old computers, cellphones, printers, scanners, video game consoles, MP3 players, televisions and other electronic devices.

State Sen. Mark Grisanti, City of Tonawanda Mayor Ron Pilozzi, Time Warner Cable and Sunnking are hosting the event, located at 1545 Sheridan Drive.

Grisanti’s recent E-waste drop off in Hamburg brought in more than 90,000 ponds of electronic waste from 1,000 vehicles, a statement from his office reads.
