Class B Quarterfinals2-Wilson 1, 7-Newfane 0

Freshman Emily Patterson scored the game’s only goal in the 25th minute, while Katlynne Tubo made nine saves for her 10th shutout of the season in Wilson’s 1-0 win over Newfane in their Class B quarterfinal matchup.

Angela Goodman, Gina Godwin and Kaylee Stoelting played strong defense to help preserve the shutout. Wilson (16-0-2) will face Tonawanda next Tuesday at Amherst High School at 6 p.m.

BOYS VOLLEYBALL

Lancaster 3, Grand Island 2

Jay Baumann led Lancaster in its five-set victory over the Vikings with 20 kills and 15 digs. Jake Alessi had 20 digs.

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Class A Pre-Quarterfinals10-Hamburg 3, 7-Grand Island 0

The Vikings finished their season at 6-11 overall (6-8 NFL) as Hamburg upset Grand Island in three sets, 25-23, 25-18, 25-14. Lindsay Proctor had 19 digs and four kills for Grand Island while teammate Leah Giles added 14 digs.

Class B Pre-Quarterfinals8-Starpoint 3, 9-East Aurora 0

Hattie Lasal had 18 assists while Jenna Faulkner had seven kills and six aces in the Spartans’ win over East Aurora in straight sets.

Albion 3, 15-Lew-Port 0

Sara Millspaugh had nine kills and an ace to lead Albion as they swept the Lancers.

MMAAMt. Mercy 3, Niagara Catholic 0

The Patriots fell in three sets, 25-9, 25-8, 25-8. Niagara Catholic senior Tylerlynn Langer had two kills, one dig and three assists. Fellow senior Samantha Galbo had 10 digs and one assist, while Stephanie Male added once ace, three kills and one assist. The Patriots finish their season 0-16 in the Monsignor Martin Athletic Association and 2-19 overall.

Mt. St. Mary’s 3, O’Hara 0

Gabby Vona had five kills for the winners.
