Jefferson Elementary may close

Tonawanda News — Ken-Ton Superintendent Mark P. Mondanaro is planning to formally recommend the closing of Jefferson Elementary School for the 2013-2014 academic year. The recommendation will be presented to the board at Tuesday's board meeting at 6:30 p.m at Hoover Elementary in the Community Room. 

The district will hold a meeting for parents and staff of the school at 3:00 p.m. today to discuss the recommendation. 

Jefferson is one of eight elementary schools in the district.
