THURSDAY: Missing Newfane girl found in Tonawanda (3:27 p.m.)

Staff Reports

The Niagara County Sheriff’s Department has cancelled a missing child alert for a Newfane girl.

A sheriff’s department dispatcher said the girl was found about 3 p.m. in the Town of Tonawanda.

Two-year-old Gianna Lynn Bootes had been last seen at 8 p.m. Wednesday with her mother’s boyfriend, David Figueroa-Oheler, 33, of Newfane, in Depew.

The sheriff’s department had issued a missing child alert after Figueroa-Oheler did not return home with the child.

Further information was not immediately available.
