FRIDAY: Five school boards meeting next week (3:26 p.m.)

Five local school boards will hold meetings next week.

The Barker School District Board of Education is meeting for a work session at 7 p.m. Monday at the district offices, 1628 Quaker Road, Barker.

A regular meeting for the Starpoint District School Board will be held at 7:20 p.m. Monday at the district offices, 4363 Mapleton Road, Pendleton. A special public hearing will take place about whether or not home schooled children should be able to participate in intramurals.

The Wilson Central School District will have a regular school board meeting at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the middle/high school auditorium, 374 Lake Street, Wilson.

Lockport City School District Board of Education will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Board of Education offices, 130 Beattie Ave. The meeting will open at 6 p.m. and the board will enter into executive session.

The Royalton-Hartland Central School District Board of Education is meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday at the high school auditorium, 54 State St., Middleport. The district is inviting interested community members to meetings concerning the search for a new superintendent. The public sessions are scheduled at 6 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. Sept. 13 in the high school auditorium.
