Tonawanda News — Those beneficiaries include the North Tonawanda Police Benevolent Association ($3,000), the North Tonawanda School District ($5,000), North Tonawanda Meals on Wheels ($9,500), North Tonawanda High School ($10,500), the Carousel Society of the Niagara Frontier ($1,000), the North Tonawanda Police Department ($1,000), the Riviera Theater and Organ Preservation Society ($15,000) and Gratwick Hose Co. ($5,000).
Foundation representatives could not be reached for comment, though Nickerson indicated that the organization is also looking to launch grant-writing seminars for not-for-profits, a venture that would be tied to the idea of helping to “self-sustain themselves.”
