Tonawanda News —
Police are searching for an acquaintance of a North Tonawanda woman found dead in her Lincoln Avenue home on Wednesday, while the Erie County Medical Examiners Office has officially ruled her death a homicide.
The woman, Heather M. Rylowicz, 34, had been living in the home for four years when a concerned neighbor called police Wednesday afternoon to report the victim's vehicle was missing, mail had been piling up at the home and a dog she owned had been left unattended. She was found dead at approximately 3 p.m. that day.
North Tonawanda Police Capt. William Hall said his department is attempting to locate Brian C. Lowry, who had reportedly lived with Rylowicz for an indeterminate amount of time, though he would not call the 32-year-old man a suspect or even a person of interest.
"We're interested in talking to him," Hall said. "I don't know what their relationship was and we haven't made a determination whether he was staying there or floating around a bit."
Hall said a neighbor had reported seeing Lowry at the Rylowicz's residence over the last several months. Anyone with information on Lowry's whereabouts or the homicide is asked to contact police at 692-4111.INFO NEEDED • If you know the whereabouts of Brian C.
