BUFFALO — Grace (nee O'Donnell) Summers, age 85, of Tonawanda, died Wednesday, February 5, 2014, at Buffalo General Hospital, after a brief illness. Born in Buffalo, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Bridget (nee Ward) O'Donnell. A resident of the Blocher Homes in Williamsville for the past year, she had been a resident of Tonawanda for the greater part of her life. She was the wife of the late John W. Summers, who died in 1992; mother of the late James Summers and sister of the late Elizabeth Waterhouse.

She is survived by her four daughters, Sharon (Daniel) Wade, Mary Summers, Cathleen (Thomas) Rogers and Colleen (Andrew) Bandinelli; two sons, John (Nancy) Summers and Mark (Marilyn) Summers; her daughter-in-law, Phyllis Summers; and three brothers, Patrick (Leah) O'Donnell, Edward (late Pamela) O'Donnell and Robert (Judith) O'Donnell. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Friday only at the HAMP FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 37 Adam Street at Seymour, Tonawanda. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM     Saturday at St. Francis Chapel, 71 Adam Street, Tonawanda. Friends invited. If desired, memorials to Catholic Charities are preferred by the family.
