TONAWANDA — Manuel James Enus, December 6, 2012, recent 100th birthday celebrant. Born on September 16, 1912 in Lawrence, MA. He attended LaSalle University for Methods Engineering. Retired in 1974 after a 45-year career as a production manager. Mr. Enus was very active in his church, the John Hancock Masonic Lodge and as a dedicated volunteer for eight years at DeGraff Skilled Nursing Facility, where he passed away.

He is survived by Gertrude Proefrock, a loving friend and partner; his daughter, Doreen (Jerry) Murphy; granddaughters, Deana (Robert Shaver) Fox and Michelle Enus; a grandson, Michael Enus; great-granddaughters, Leah Fox Shaver and Tresseca Norris. He is preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Lillian Enus; and his son, James Enus.
Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Saturday, December 15th at 11 AM in Payne Avenue Christian Church, 1451 Payne Ave., North Tonawanda. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the DeGraff Skilled Nursing Facility (Social Activity Fund), Attn: Christine Snyder, 445 Tremont St., North Tonawanda, NY 14120.
