Arthur A. Zarzeczny


Arthur A. Zarzeczny of North Tonawanda, entered into eternal life, Sunday, September 29, 2013 at the age of 85. Born in Oil City, PA, Mr. Zarzeczny resided in North Tonawanda for the past sixty years. He served with the U.S. Air Force during World War II. Arthur was a retired employee of Carborundum Abrasive Co., Niagara Falls, NY, after 39 years of service. He was a member of Niagara Frontier Aircraft Group and After Five Club at Carborundum. Arthur was an avid Notre Dame fan, enjoyed many years of flying, working as a volunteer at the Niagara Aerospace Museum and enjoyed spending time with his family.
Beloved husband of 60 years to Victoria "Vickie" (nee Wysocki) Zarzeczny; dearest father of Mark (Kathy) Zarzeczny of Wheatfield and Melissa Saad of the Town of Tonawanda; proud and loving grandfather of Jason, Sarah, Kailey, Jordan and Zachary; dear brother of Julius (Connie) Zarzeczny and the late Jayne Oprendek. Also survived by nieces and nephews.
The family will be present to greet relatives and friends on Wednesday, October 2nd from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at the SABER FUNERAL HOME, 549 Oliver St., North Tonawanda (692-0271) where prayers will be offered on Thursday at 9:15 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at St. Jude the Apostle Parish, 800 Niagara Falls Blvd. at 10 AM. Interment Acacia Park Cemetery. Flowers graciously declined.
