Donald A. McMeekin

NORTH TONAWANDA — Donald A. McMeekin, of North Tonawanda, entered into eternal life on Sunday, December 22, 2013, at the age of 80, at DeGraff Memorial Hospital, after a brief illness. A lifelong resident of the Tonawandas, Mr. McMeekin worked as a millwright for 35 years. He was an active member of the former St.  Joseph's R.C. Church, member of N.F.R.H.A., AARP and North Tonawanda Seniors. Mr. McMeekin enjoyed camping, playing cards,  horseshoes, metal detecting, was an avid bowler where he was the treasurer for over 50 years for the Wednesday "C" League and he cherished spending time with his family.

Beloved husband of 54 years to Carol (nee Carli) McMeekin. Treasured father of Kathleen (Kevin) Michalski, Karen (Peter) Krug, Timothy McMeekin, Susan (Louis) DeMarie and Mary (Michael) Schroeder. Proud and loving grandfather of Tanya, Stacy, Nicholas, Mark, Lindsay, Courtney, Thomas, Maxton and Charles and great-grandchildren, Payton and Jayden.

The family will be present to greet relatives and friends on FRIDAY, December 27th from 4 to 8 PM at the SABER FUNERAL HOME, 549 Oliver St., North  Tonawanda (692-0271).

Family and friends are asked to gather at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church (Oliver St.), for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated on Saturday at 9:30 AM.
