Julia Katherine Rydzik


When life's storms could not be calmed and another smile could not be had, God took her home, for in Heaven there are no tears. Julia Katherine (nee Osypiewski) Rydzik died on June 9th in her 93rd year. A longtime resident of North Tonawanda and member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish, she was the daughter of Agnes and John Osypiewski.
Julia's deceased siblings include Benjamin and Joseph Osypiewski, Jean Marks, Jane Gilbert, Hedwig (Pat) Manna-Markham, Pauline Forster and Patrick Osypiewski (infant). She is survived by brother, Frank Osypiewski (Oswego, NY). Julia was married to Stanley B. Rydzik for 41 years until his death in 1987. She is the mother of James A. Rydzik (Teresa Maduri), Marie A. Rydzik Topolski (Julian J. Topolski) and Michael Rydzik. Julia was blessed with grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will be present to receive family and friends on Thursday, June 12, 2014 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at the Colucci Funeral Home, 652 Oliver St. at Fifth Ave., North Tonawanda (692-4917). Relatives and friends please assemble at church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 13, 2014 at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Czestochowa Roman Catholic Church, 626 Oliver Street. Flowers are graciously declined. Memorials may be made in Julia's name to the charity of one's choice.
