WICHITA, KS —
Daniel E. O'Connor, age 52, of Wichita, KS, formerly of Tonawanda, died unexpectedly, Wednesday, October 17th at McConnell Air Force Base. Daniel grew up in Tonawanda and was a 1979 graduate of Tonawanda High School. After graduation, he joined the Air Force, retiring in 2003 as a Master Sergeant. He was a member of the American Legion, Tonawandas Post No. 264, and was the son of the late Charles M. O'Connor, who died in 2006.
Daniel is survived by his mother, Betty (nee Davis) O'Connor; three brothers, David (Roxanne) O'Connor, Michael (Rhea) O'Connor and Thomas O'Connor; five sisters, Mary Martin, Ann O'Connor, Patricia O'Connor, Karen (Frank Burgess) O'Connor and Judy (Michael) Caron. Also surviving are many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Friends may call from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM on Wednesday only at the HAMP FUNERAL HOME, INC., 37 Adam Street at Seymour, Tonawanda. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Thursday at St. Francis of Assisi Church on Broad Street, Tonawanda. Friends invited. If desired, memorials to the Wounded Warrior Project are preferred by the family.
