Shawn D. Bedell

DELEVAN — Shawn D. Bedell, of Marble Springs Rd., died Tuesday (June 4, 2013), at the Olean General Hospital, following an apparent heart attack at work. Born Oct. 29, 1961 in North Tonawanda, he was the son of Daniel and Marilyn Fuller Bedell.

Shawn was a 1979 graduate of Kenmore West Senior High School and was the current chef at the soon to be opened FATS Restaurant in Lime Lake. He previously owned and operated Scorpion Images in Yorkshire where he was a tattoo artist.  He was employed for over 20 years as a butcher at Budway's Grocery in North Tonawanda. Shawn loved to play golf, play guitar and was a social member of the American Legion Post #1460 in Machias.

Surviving, besides his mother of North Tonawanda, are two daughters, Dominique Thibault of Tennessee, Becca Lambert of Machias; three brothers, Christopher (Jennie) Bushover of Kenmore, Dale Bedell of Tonawanda, Daniel (Sandi) Bedell, Jr. of Lancaster; five sisters, Cindy (John) Skliutas of Clifton Park, Rene Stempert of Belfast, Candy (Wayne) Hawley of Rushford, Domany (Nate) Davilmar of Virginia Beach, Jessica (Merv) Felton of Buffalo; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may gather with the family on Monday (June 10, 2013), at the Babbitt & Easton Funeral Home, 7 N. Main St., Franklinville, from 5-8 PM, with a time of remembrance to follow, with Rev. Dr. Michael Jorden of Houghton College. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Joyful Rescues, 1319 Turock Rd., Cuba, NY 14727.
