Hubert John Pringle, Sr.

NIAGARA FALLS — Hubert John Pringle, Sr., age 77, of Niagara Falls, entered into rest after a lengthy illness on May 7, 2014, at his residence, while under the care of his loving family and Niagara Hospice. Born in Jefferson County, PA on August 17, 1936, he was the son of the late James and Catherine (Beaton) Pringle. Hubert was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict from 1954-1957. He owned and operated two bars and restaurants before his retirement, Pringle's Tavern in Tonawanda and End Zone in Niagara Falls. Hobbies included hunting, going to the casino and playing Texas Hold'em.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth (nee Prehoda) Pringle. They were united in marriage on August 10, 1974; seven children, Kathy Han, Julie (Roger) Myers, Laurie Pringle, Jerry (Michael) Pringle, Stacy (Joe) Sikora, Herbie Pringle, Jr. and Edward (Tammy) Pringle; a sister, Rose Kathleen (Ray) Trotter; 15 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Also predeceased by six brothers and sisters, Donald (Janice) Pringle, Lenore (Clarence) Hoffman, William Pringle, Shirley Olson, James (Carol) Pringle and Patricia Hamdy.

A memorial service is being held at Fair Havens Church, 7337 Ward Rd., North Tonawanda,        Saturday at 1 PM. There will be no prior visitation and in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Roswell Park Cancer Institute. Arrangements are with the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME (731-3234).
