William Warner Cowles, Jr.

NORTH TONAWANDA — William Warner Cowles, Jr., age 87, of North Tonawanda, May 22, 2014, in Northgate Manor Nursing Home. Mr. Cowles was a U.S. Army Air Force WWII veteran. He was a member of the American Legion Sikora Post and Columbia Hook and Ladder. He was the former owner and     operator of William Cowles Painting.

He was the husband of the late Jean (nee Wilson) Cowles, who died in 2013. Brother of the late James Cowles and Elizabeth Harbort. Brother-in-law of John C. (late Helen) Wilson of North Tonawanda; uncle of Jeffrey Cowles, Claire Sheeler, Fran Ecelbarger, Marti Metzger, Jason Cowles, Anne Smith, John, Rob and David Wilson, and many great-nieces and nephews.

No prior visitation. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 7 PM from North Presbyterian Church, 168 Payne Ave., North Tonawanda, the Rev. Stuart Buisch will officiate. Interment in      Elmlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to North Presbyterian Church or the National Parkinson Foundation, 200 SE 1st Street, Suite 800, Miami, FL 33131.
