Marion E. Witkowski

NORTH TONAWANDA —

Marion E. Witkowski of North Tonawanda, entered into eternal life, Monday, July 8, 2013 at the age of 87, at DeGraff Memorial Hospital, after a brief illness. A lifelong resident of North Tonawanda, Marion was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a graduate of North Tonawanda High School, Class of 1943, Erie County Community College and received a Bachelor and Master's Degree from Buffalo State College. Mr. Witkowski was a retired teacher from Lewiston Porter Central School System where he taught technology. He owned and operated Witkowski Painting for 30 years. He was a member of Stephen Sikora Post #1322 American Legion and Dom Polski. Marion was an avid Buffalo Bills fan, enjoyed vegetable gardening, painting, woodworking, playing pinochle, traveling and spending time with his family.
Beloved husband of 60 years to Frances (nee Drusko) Witkowski; loving father of Diane (Mark) Bennett of North Tonawanda; brother of the late Stanley, Casimer, Henry, Sister Mary Julia, C.S.S.F., Edward (Dorothy) Witkowski, Agnes Stempin and Sophie Moore. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
No prior visitation. Family and friends are asked to gather at St. Jude the Apostle Parish (800 Niagara Falls Blvd.) for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated on THURSDAY, July 11th at 10 AM. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Flowers graciously declined. Memorial gifts may be made in Marion's honor to St. Jude's Building Fund. Arrangements by the SABER FUNERAL HOME (692-0271).
