Robert Henry Keil

BUFFALO — Robert Henry Keil, age 86, of the Town of Tonawanda and formerly of the City of         Tonawanda, died on Friday, July 4, 2014, at the VA Medical Center. Born in Buffalo, NY to the late Henry and Phyllis (Tinney) Keil, he was the husband of Genevieve (nee Meyers) Keil, who died in 1996; and brother of the late Donald Keil.  Robert was a US Navy veteran of WW II. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish in the City of Tonawanda, and was a member and officer for the North Tonawanda Lodge #860 B.P.O.E. He was also a member of the VFW, the Brighton Men's Golf League and the Brighton Sundays Couples Golf League. Robert was a former Little League Football and Baseball coach. He was an avid golfer, euchre player and enjoyed walking.  

He is survived by his devoted partner of 15 years, Sheila Keefe; five children, Robert Michael (Kathleen) Keil of Lancaster, NY, Christine Diane (Richard) Falk of Cheektowaga, NY, David Paul (Geraldine) Keil of North Tonawanda, NY, Thomas Henry (Judith) Keil of West Seneca, NY, and Barbara Ann Keil of Tonawanda; 13 grandchildren, Joseph, Joshua, Michelle, Renee, Dawn, Shawn, Michael, Justin, Marie, Rachel, David, Peter and Samantha; also survived by six great-grandchildren.

Family will be present on Monday from 6-8 PM and Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at JOHN O. ROTH FUNERAL HOME, INC., 25 William St. (between Morgan & Broad Sts.), City of Tonawanda. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 9, at 10 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Chapel, 71 Adam St., City of Tonawanda. (Please assemble at the Chapel.) Rev. Michael Uebler will officiate. Burial will be in Acacia Park Cemetery, Pendleton, NY.
