Jacklyn A. "Mama Jack" Reid

KENMORE — Jacklyn A. "Mama Jack" (nee LaClair) Reid, 79, passed on July 3, 2014, at Kenmore Mercy Hospital. She was born April 17, 1935 in St. Regis Falls, NY, the daughter of the late Frank and Charlotte (nee Seymour) LaClair. Wife of the late Ralph E. Reid. Loving mother of Debra (Wayne) Richards and Lisamarie (Larry) Spears of San Antonio,TX; sister of Peggy (John) Wilson of St. Regis Falls, NY; grandmother of Ashley and Lindsey Richards and Larry Spears, Jr. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Jacklyn worked at Bonk's Delicatessen, Klimek's Tavern and Best Taste Mini Mart up until her retirement. After retiring, she worked for the Board of Elections. Jacklyn was a member of St. Regis Falls Historians Association and the Ladies Auxiliary American Legion Post 1322. She had a love of cooking and was known to many as the Wing and Pierogi Queen. She was also known for her generosity through cooking for neighborhood benefits and friends. Mama Jack was a true gift to those who knew her and will be affectionately missed by all.

Per Mama Jack's wishes there will be no service. Donations can be made in Jacklyn's memory to Niagara Hospice Alliance, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094-1231; or Hospice Foundation of WNY, 225 Como Park Blvd., Cheektowaga, NY 14227-1480.
