Alexander Joseph Duplicki

MEDIA, PA — Alexander Joseph Duplicki, age 84, of Media, PA, died December 2, 2012.  With great sadness, we announce the death of our dear father. Dad devoted his life to the four of us:  Patricia Peterson (James), David Duplicki (Michelle), Bradley Duplicki (Kristen) and Drew Duplicki (Sandy). He adored being the grandfather of Steven, Brooke, Ryan, Michael, Matthew, Ellie, Laurel and Lindsay.  He was a caring uncle and great-uncle to many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.  His older sister, Florence Lasky survives him.

Alex graduated from North Tonawanda High School in 1946 and was elected into the North Tonawanda High School Football Hall of Fame.  He graduated from Bucknell University in 1951 with a degree in Commerce and Finance. He was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. As a star nose-tackle on the Bucknell Football team, Alex was selected to the All-Pennsylvania First String Eleven and Little All-American Teams. After college, Alex served two years in Korea as a member of the U.S. Army. In 1954, he began a career in the insurance industry, most notably with the Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company. Alex specialized in Estate and Business Planning and was recognized as a top producer for many years.  He retired in 2002.
