Amelia Kalinowski

NORTH TONAWANDA —

Amelia (nee Jaros) Kalinowski of Clifton, VA and formerly of North Tonawanda, went to join her husband in the presence of the Lord on April 15, 2014. She passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 92.
Beloved wife of 64 years to the late Stanley Kalinowski, Amelia was an auxiliary member of the American Legion Stephen Sikora Post 1322 in North Tonawanda, a member of the Bishop's Committee in North Tonawanda, and a longtime parishioner and frequent bingo worker at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church in North Tonawanda.
She was the loving mother of Katherine Kalinowski (Brant Baber), Valeria Short (James) and Elizabeth Manella (Gary Dineen); and proud grandmother to John, Joseph (Mandy Pederson), Jane and Jordan Baber, Stephanie, Zachary and Adrienne Short, and Matthew, Emily and Laura Manella. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Dear sister of Stanley Jaros of North Tonawanda. She was predeceased by siblings, Wanda Bieda, Walter Jaros, and Daniel Jaros; and also by son-in law, Joseph Mannella.
A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at 10:30 AM at Saint Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, 6720 Union Mill Road, Clifton, VA 20124. Inurnment will follow at Clifton Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the church.
