William H. Belford, Jr.

BUFFALO — William H. Belford, Jr., age 91, of Wheatfield, died Friday, May 23, 2014, at the VA Medical      Center in Buffalo, after a brief illness. Born in North Tonawanda, he was the son of the late William and Florence (nee Patton) Belford and was an Army veteran of WWII. Before retiring, he was employed as a Tool & Die Maker at Trinity Tool Company in North Tonawanda. Mr. Belford was an avid Buffalo Bills fan. He was the husband of the late Louise M. Belford, who died April 14, 2012.

He is survived by his four children, Timothy (Sue) Belford, Deborah (Donald) Merhar of        Richland, WA, William H. Belford III of North Tonawanda, and Lisa (John) Meczynski of Amherst; and a sister, Florence (Claire) Fyke of Penfield. Also surviving are three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday (June 18), from Noon-2 PM at the HAMP              FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 37 Adam Street at Seymour, Tonawanda, where services will be held at 2 PM Wednesday. Friends invited. Interment with military honors will follow at Acacia Park Cemetery in Pendleton. If desired, memorials to the Disabled American Veterans are preferred by the family.
