Joseph A. Manarina, age 77, passed away on February 3, 2014.
Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he graduated from Niagara High School and the General Motors Training Institute in Flint, MI.
Joseph was president and owner of Manaria Oldsmobile, City of Tonawanda, NY, and a lifelong resident of the Buffalo area. He retired in 1984.
Joseph was a member of the Knights of Columbus and a member and past president of NFADA (Niagara Frontier Auto Dealers Association), where he received numerous NFADA awards, and a member and past president of the Exchange Club. He was also a member of Eldridge Club and the Brookfield Country Club. He was an avid drummer and loved jazz music.
Loving companion of Dolores "Dee" Sweet; dear father of Joseph G. (Rosella Orlando), Michael R. Manarina, both of Florida, and Cynthia M. "Cindy" (Mary Ellen Suchan) Manarina; cherished grandfather of Deanne, Courtney and Bailey Manarina; adoring great-grandfather of three; devoted brother of Richard Manarina and Mary Ellen Ashby; also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was the beloved son of the late Joseph B. and Rosalind (Muscato) Manarina, and the grandson of the late Antonio and Anna Manarina and James and Frances Muscato.
No prior visitation. Friends are invited to attend a memorial Mass Saturday morning, July 12th at 10:00 AM in Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church (Main and Harris Hill). Donations can be made in memory of Joseph A. Manarina to the North American Spine Society (www.spine.org), the Albright-Knox Summer Jazz Series, or the Lewiston Jazz Festival.
