Kenneth M. "Ken" Watson

ST. AUGUSTINE, FL — Kenneth M. "Ken" Watson, age 90, of St. Augustine, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2014, at the Clyde E. Lassen State Veteran's Nursing Home, with his family by his side. He was born and grew up in North Tonawanda, NY.

He served his country in the U.S. Army in the South Pacific during WWII. After the war, he        graduated from Syracuse University with Bachelor's degree in Wood Products Engineering, and went on to enjoy a career in the lumber industry. Ken loved woodworking in his leisure time and was a skilled handyman. He recently relocated to St. Augustine, moving from Vero Beach, FL, where he had lived for 25 years and was a member of the First Church of God. Above all, Ken was a devoted husband and a loving father and grandfather, who will be deeply missed.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Carol Watson. He is survived by his sons, Gary D. (Susan) Watson of  St. Augustine, FL, Brian R. (Gayle) Watson of Vero Beach, FL, and Kevin Watson of Plano, TX; a daughter, Nancy (Mark) Scibek of Flower Mound, TX; a sister,      Virginia Evans of North Tonawanda, NY; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services and interment in Acacia Park Cemetery in North Tonawanda, NY, will take place at a later date. St. John's Family Funeral Home in St. Augustine, FL, is in charge of arrangements.
