Roger John Hahn

BUFFALO — Roger John Hahn, age 70, of North Tonawanda and formerly of the City of Tonawanda, died on Thursday, February 20, 2014, at the VA Medical Center in Buffalo. Born in North Tonawanda, NY to the late Harold W. and Elizabeth (Hartman) Hahn, he was a lifelong resident of the Tonawandas. Roger was a US Navy veteran of the Vietnam War and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #413. He was an avid golfer and bowler.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Diane L. (nee Sentz) Hahn; three children, Christopher (Kathy) Hahn of Niagara Falls, NY, Deanna (Vince) Kalota and Lindsay Hahn, both of North  Tonawanda; three grandchildren, baby Lucas Hahn, Scott and Noah Botsford; his beloved dog, London; his mother-in-law, Barbara Cartwright; a sister, Barbara (Fred) Hammond of Cleveland, OH; two cousins, Alan and Art Hahn; niece and nephews, John F. (Kate) Hammond, Jane (Chris) Peer and Jeffrey (Jessica) Hammond; and great-nieces and nephews, David, Andrew, John J. and Mackenzie Hammond, Sydney and Sarah Peer.

Family will be present on Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at JOHN O. ROTH FUNERAL HOME, INC., 25 William St. (between Morgan & Broad Sts.), City of Tonawanda. A Mass of Christian   Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 25, at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Czestochowa R.C. Church, 64 Center and Oliver Sts., in North Tonawanda. Please assemble at church. Rev. Gary Szczepankiewicz will officiate. Burial will be private. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 101 John James Audubon Pkwy.,  Amherst, NY 14228.
