William H. Perkins, Sr.

ROCHESTER —

William H. Perkins, Sr., of Rochester, NY, passed away peacefully, after a brief illness, at Park Ridge Hospital with his family by his side. He was born in Niagara Falls, NY, on July 24, 1929, the son of the late Alfred and Margaret Mary (Whalen) Perkins.
Bill raised his family in North Tonawanda and moved to Rochester in 1974. He retired from Eastman Kodak. Bill served with the United States Marines Corps and was a devoted father who enjoyed spending time with his family.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Joan  A. (Weasner) Perkins, who died in October of 1976. Bill was the loving father of William (Eileen) Perkins, Jr., Thomas (Ethel) Perkins, Timothy (Anne) Perkins, Mary (David) Fisher and Christine (Christopher) Casaccia; and special friend of  Camille Biondo. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff of the emergency department and the 2700 unit at Unity Hospital for the loving care they provided our dad.
Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the  Hilton Baptist Church, 50 Lake Ave, Hilton, NY 14468. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army, 7018 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY 14304. Interment with Military Honors in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. Arrangements were made throught the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME.
