CITY OF TONAWANDA —
Leonard T. Neaman, age 96, of the City of Tonawanda, Wednesday, December 5, 2012, at his residence, under the care of Hospice, surrounded by his loving family. A lifelong resident of Tonawanda, he was the husband of Dorothy (nee Nowark) Neaman, who died in 2002; and was the brother of the late Raymond, LeRoy and Robert Neaman and Lavina Hering. He was employed by the City of Tonawanda for 17 years, retiring in 1976. He was a 74-year member and Past President of the National Hose Volunteer Fire Co., a member and past President of the Tonawanda Exempt Volunteer Firemens Assn., the oldest member of the Eldredge Club for 77 years, a member and past Commodore and Treasurer of the Anerald Boating Club, lifelong member of Salem United Church of Christ, a member of Tonawanda Senior Citizens and AARP. His special interest was to ride around Tonawanda on his Moped.
He is survived by his son and daughter, Thomas (Pamela) Neaman of Albritghtville, PA and Lenora (the late Ronald) Crelot of North Tonawanda; three grandchildren, Kelli (Anthony) Perry of Monroe, NJ, Lisa Zander of North Tonawanda, and Christopher (Joy) Crelot of Buffalo; six great-grandchildren, Myles, Jordan, Delaney, Emily, Ryan and Kailyn; his sister, Jane (the late Paul) Baker; and his sister-in-law, Cathee Pearson, both of Florida. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Sunday from 4:00-7:00 PM at John O. Roth Funeral Home, Inc., 25 William St. (between Morgan and Broad Sts.)., in Tonawanda. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 AM in Salem United Church of Christ, 114 Morgan St., in Tonawanda. The Rev. Jeremy Lopez will officiate. A private burial will be in Elmlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Salem United Church of Christ or to Hospice Buffalo, Inc.
